Vtext.com is a companion website that is included with every activation of Text Messaging service (at no additional charge). This site expands your Text Messaging service by offering a growing variety of messaging features.
This guide outlines the following features of vtext.com, with directions for each:
Join Up
Ready to get started on vtext.com? First you need to Join Up.
- Enter your 10-digit mobile phone number in box #1. Use ONLY numbers. Do not enter dashes, symbols or spaces.
- Click Send. Your temporary password will immediately be sent to your mobile handset as a Text message.
- Once you receive the temporary password, enter it into box #2. NOTE: Passwords are case sensitive.
- Enter your desired new password into box #3. You will use this password each time you log back into vtext.com. It is recommended that this password contain a combination of letters and numbers to make it more difficult for others to guess. Remember, passwords are case sensitive. Each time you enter your password throughout the site, you must type it exactly as you just entered it above.
- Re-enter your new password in box #4 to confirm spelling.
- In addition, Verizon Wireless gives an option to have upcoming promotions and special offers sent to your wireless device.
- Click Save. Upon successful registration, users will receive a "Congratulations!" confirmation message. Password and congratulatory messages are sent at no charge.
