Text Status (Non-Registered User)
After sending a message, the web page will display a Text Status page. Click Update Status to determine if the message was "Accepted by network" and "Message delivered to handset".
Only digital 2-Way Short Message Service (SMS) and Verizon Wireless Enhanced Message Service (EMS) capable handsets provide Confirmed Delivery.
In order to retrieve Text Status at a later time, enter corresponding information into the "Tracking ID'" and "Recipient" input fields.
Next, click the Update Status button.
The status of this message will then be displayed.
MY Text Menu Screen
MY Contacts, Quick Text, MY Calendar, Text Wallpaper, MY Webpage, Text Blocking, and Change Password icons appear in the center of the page and link to additional SMS value-added services that you can set up.
The MY Text page allows you to select a wireless messaging address included in your digital phone for receiving messages.
Your default SMS address is 10digit@vtext.com.
To create a nickname: ("Nickname"@vtext.com)
- Enter your desired Wireless Nickname and click the Save button.
- Your nickname displays, followed by '@vtext.com'.
- Note: If this nickname is already taken, you will be instructed to select another nickname.
To change a nickname:
- To change your Wireless Nickname, click the Edit button.
- Enter a new Wireless Nickname into the box and click the 'Save' button.
