Text Wallpaper
The Wallpaper Settings page allows you to select your favorite background wallpaper that will be displayed behind specific web pages when logged in. There are several dozen colorful screens to choose from!
To select your wallpaper, view the choices by clicking the right or left arrows or by selecting the name from the text box, then click "save".
Wallpaper selections are displayed on both web pages and "Text My Webpage".
Text Communities
To set up a group shortcut on your phone
Now you can use that shortcut whenever you want to send a group message.
To send a message to a group with a shortcut saved in your inbox
Find the original group shortcut text message.
Select Reply.
Compose a 120 character (or less) message.
Select OK or Send.
To add a member's shortcut on your phone
When you receive a message from another member, either directly to you or a group, it comes from a number. That number is the member's shortcut. On your phone, either save that message in your inbox, or store the shortcut number that it came from in your phonebook (just like a phone number), preferably with the member's name. Now you can use that shortcut whenever you want to send a message to that member.

Visit vtext.com, go to Text PLAY and click on IM & Chat. Click on the Text Communities on the page; you will be required to sign in.
Select Send me a shortcut on the group detail page.
You will receive a shortcut text message.
On your phone, either save that shortcut message in your inbox, or store the number that it came from in your phonebook (just like a normal phone number), preferably with the group's name.
Verizon Wireless Communities is an easy, wireless service connecting you to your friends, your interests, the world - whenever and wherever. With Communities, your mobile phone is more than a phone. You can use it to send text to groups and individuals, and you can get up-to-the-second information on the events, places, and people you're interested in. :
From the 'Create New Alert' page, enter the date and time you wish to receive the alert.
The "Recurring" column shows how often the message will be delivered. If you wish to receive the message once, daily, weekly, monthly or yearly select your choice from the drop-down "Recurring" menu.
Everything within the "Your Message" box will be displayed exactly as it will appear when it is delivered to the handset.
Attach a 10-digit phone number to the alert (optional).
Click the 'Save' button.
Click on the desired alert within the monthly calendar. This will link you to the "Edit Alert" page.
From the "Edit Alert" page, make the desired changes to the alert information.
Click the "Save" button.
- NOTE: The character counter counts down from 160 and counts all of the characters typed in the message box.
The "Detail" tab at the top of the calendar allows you to view all monthly alerts that you have set, while the '"Calendar" returns you to the monthly "Calendar View'" page.
You can navigate from month-to-month and year-to-year using the drop down boxes and by clicking "Go"

The personal calendar gives a view of the month in a calendar format.
The "Detail" tab at the top-right of the calendar allows you to view your monthly alerts in a "Detailed View", while the "Calendar" tab returns you to the monthly "Calendar View".
You can navigate from month-to-month and year-to-year using the drop-down boxes and by clicking "Go".
The date on each monthly calendar page is a link to the "Create New Alert'" page.
To edit an existing alert, click on the desired alert within the monthly calendar. This will link you to the "Edit Alert" page.
Only the first few words of the alert will appear in the monthly calendar view. To see the full text, either switch to the 'Detail View' or click on the text to enter the "Edit Alert'" page.
Select a name from the "Group" list and click the "Delete Group" button.
Click the Group tab in the upper right corner of the page.
- This page allows you to create group lists to send messages to up to 10 people at once.
Enter a name into the first box on the right-hand side labeled "Group Name". This is the name that will be displayed in the Send a Text page in the "Group" box.
- You can add up to 20 members to each group by clicking the available contacts listed in the "People" list.
- If you wish to remove an individual from the group, simply click that person's name and then click the "Remove" button.
- Clicking 'Cancel' will not save any changes that you have just made to your Group lists.
When you are satisfied with the members of the group, click the Save Group button. The Group will now appear in the "Groups" list to the left.
Click a name from the People list. The contact information will appear in the boxes to the right.
Make the necessary changes and click the Save Contact button.
- Clicking the "Cancel" button will not save any changes you have made.
- Clicking the "Delete Contact" button will remove that name from your "People'" list.
Enter a name into the first box in step #1 on the right side.
- This is the name that will be displayed in your Contact List, and will be accessible from the registered Send a Text page.
Enter either the 10-digit mobile number or wireless nickname for that contact in the boxes in step #2. Do not enter "@vtext.com" in the Wireless Nickname box.
Click the Save Contact button. The contact name will now display in the "People" list to the left.
To change your Wireless Nickname, click the Edit button.
Enter a new Wireless Nickname into the box and click the 'Save' button.
MY Contacts, Quick Text, MY Calendar, Text Wallpaper, MY Webpage, Text Blocking, and Change Password icons appear in the center of the page and link to additional SMS value-added services that you can set up.
The MY Text page allows you to select a wireless messaging address included in your digital phone for receiving messages.
Your default SMS address is 10digit@vtext.com.

Click the Forgot Password? link on the left navigation menu.
Enter your 10-digit mobile number, (using ONLY numbers and NO dashes or spaces).
Click the Send button and your password will be sent to your handset as a text message and you'll always know your single password.
Hover mouse pointer over the "My Text" tab at the top of the page. A sub-menu will appear. Select "Change Password".
To change your password, enter your new password in the second box, labeled New Password.
Re-enter the new password in the third box, labeled Confirm Password to confirm spelling.
Your password will be changed. If you receive an error, please re-type your passwords, you may have mistyped or misspelled a word. Passwords are case sensitive. This means that each time you enter your password throughout the site, you must type it exactly as you just entered it above.
Once you have a password, just enter your mobile number (using ONLY numbers and NO dashes or spaces) and enter your password. NOTE: Passwords are case sensitive. Each time you enter your password, you must type it exactly as you just entered it upon creation.
Your mobile number and password can be remembered on your computer by choosing the Remember My Mobile Number and Mobile Number & Password checkboxes.
Click the Go button on the side navigation or the Login button on the Sign In page.
You are now signed in.
