How to Use Guide: PC Monitor for Outlook

Welcome to the Wireless Sync service from Verizon Wireless.  PC Monitor for Outlook is software that must be downloaded to a computer that will:

  • Always have access to a configured Outlook client
  • Maintain a reliable connection to the Internet.

  • The steps described here will assist in the configuration of PC Monitor for Outlook.  The software can only be configured to support a single user.

    This Quick Start Guide will help you:
    • Identify System Requirements
    • Install PC Monitor
    • Configure PC Monitor for Outlook
    System Requirements

    The PC must meet the following requirements to run the PC Monitor for Outlook:

    • Supported PC Operating Systems:
      • Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional with Service Pack 4
      • Microsoft Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 1 or higher
      • Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 1 or higher
    • The logged in user must have permission to install software on the PC
    • 128MB or more of RAM
    • 128MB free hard disk space
    • Internet Explorer 5.0 or above
    • Supported Versions of Microsoft Outlook client software:
      • Outlook 2003
      • Outlook 2002 with Service Pack 2 (also known as Outlook XP)
        • NOTE: Service Pack 3 is NOT supported
      • Outlook 2000 with Service Pack 2 or higher
    Install PC Monitor for Outlook

    To enable PC Monitor for Outlook, navigate the setup wizard in the following manner then follow the exact steps for your chosen device type as described in the Quick Start Guide for that device.
