How to Use Guide: Prepaid Mobile Broadband

Prepaid Mobile Broadband sessions can be activated through the Internet on the Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband Self Activation online portal by using the connection manager that came with your Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband certified device.  If you do not have software, you can download the latest version of VZAccess Manager's website.

VZAccess Manager

1. Ensure you are using the latest version of VZAccess Manager. Visit VZAccess Manager's website to download the newest software. 
   • If using an older version of VZAccess Manager, you may encounter errors trying to connect. If this occurs, settings in specific versions of VZAccess Manager may need to be changed.
   • In VZAccess Manager, select Tools.
   • Select Preferences.
   • Click on the Get Access tab.
   • Select Prepaid Mobile Broadband or Trial Service.
   • Click OK. 
2. Run VZAccess Manager and follow screen prompts for activation. 
3. Complete the Account Information & Billing Address fields. 
4. For payment, select Pay with Credit Card or Pay with Verizon Wireless Gift Card, DayPass Card or account balance. 
5. Enter your Credit Card information or Gift Card/DayPass Card Number and PIN from the back of your DayPass card. Click Submit. 
6. Click Disconnect. 
7. Close browser.
8. Click Start, then VZAccess Manager, then Connect.

Dell

On your desktop, you will either have a Dell Mobile Broadband Card Utility or a Dell Control Point icon. 

1. Select the Dell Mobile Broadband Card Utility icon. Follow prompts for automatic activation.
   -OR-
2. Right-click on the Dell Control Point icon in the system tray and select Installed Modules.
   • Select Connection Manager.
   • Choose Connection Status
   • Then select Mobile Broadband and then click Activate. Follow prompts for automatic activation. 
3. Select the Prepaid Mobile Broadband offer and click Next. 
4. Select Prepaid Mobile Broadband and click Activate.
5. Complete the Account Information & Billing Address fields.
6. For payment, select Pay with Credit Card or Pay with Verizon Wireless Gift Card, DayPass Card or account balance.
7. Enter your Credit Card information or Gift Card/DayPass Card Number and PIN from the back of your DayPass card. Click Submit. 
8. Click Disconnect. 
9. Close browser.
10. Click Start, then VZAccess Manager and then Connect. 

Hewlett Packard 

1. Select the HP Mobile Broadband Setup Utility icon on your desktop. Follow prompts for connection.
2. Select North America for region and Verizon Wireless for mobile operator.
3. On self-activation screen, select Prepaid Mobile Broadband offer.
4. Complete the Account Information & Billing Address fields. 
5. For payment, select Pay with Credit Card or Pay with Verizon Wireless Gift Card, DayPass Card or account balance.
6. Enter your Credit Card information or Gift Card/DayPass Card Number and PIN from the back of your DayPass card, then select Submit. 
7. Click Disconnect. 
8. Close browser.
9. Click Start, then VZAccess Manager, then Connect.  

Lenovo

1. Select the Setup button and follow prompts for connection.
2. Click the Windows Start button.
3. Launch Access Connections. 
4. Select Verizon Wireless for connection profile and click Connect. 
5. On self-activation screen, select Prepaid Mobile Broadband offer and click Next. 
6. Select Prepaid Mobile Broadband and click Activate.
7. Complete the Account Information & Billing Address fields.
8. For payment, select Pay with Credit Card or Pay with Verizon Wireless Gift Card, DayPass Card or account balance.
9. Enter your Credit Card information or Gift Card/DayPass Card Number and PIN from the back of your DayPass card. Click Submit. 
10. Click Disconnect. 
11. Close browser.
12. Click Start, then VZAccess Manager, then Connect.

Panasonic 

1. Insert the Panasonic CSA Disc, and select Verizon Wireless as your carrier. 
2. Run VZAccess Manager and follow screen prompts for activation.
   • Ensure the customer is using the latest version of VZAccess Manager. Visit VZAccess Manager's website to download the newest software.
   • Customers using older versions of VZAccess Manager may encounter errors trying to connect. If this occurs, settings in specific versions of VZAccess Manager may need to be changed.
   • In VZAccess Manager, select Tools.
   • Select Preferences.
   • Choose the Get Access tab.
   • Select Prepaid Mobile Broadband or trial service.
   • Click OK.
3. Complete the Account Information & Billing Address fields. 
4. For payment, select Pay with Credit Card or Pay with Verizon Wireless Gift Card, DayPass Card or account balance.
5. Enter your Credit Card information or Gift Card/DayPass Card Number and PIN from the back of your DayPass card and click Submit.
6. Click Disconnect.
7. Close browser.
8. Click Start, then VZAccess Manager and then Connect.
