  1. Does the Samsung i700 with Windows Mobile 2003 support multiple email profiles?
    Yes. You may configure multiple POP3 / IMAP email profiles on your Samsung i700 device. Please note the Samsung i700 does not support SMTP Authentication independent of the POP3 / IMAP credentials. This means that the POP3 / IMAP username and password combination is used to login to both the incoming and outgoing server.

  2. How do I configure my Samsung i700 to automatically check for new POP3 / IMAP email messages?

    Modify the Connect automatically and check for messages option by following these steps:

    1. Select Start > Inbox.
    2. Tap Accounts.
    3. From the picklist, select Accounts and tap the name of the account you wish to modify.
    4. Tap Next until you reach the screen titled Email Setup (4/4).
    5. Tap Options.
    6. Set the auto-connect preferences. This option will force the device to automatically establish a connection and check your email server for new messages. Note: Setting the device to connect automatically may result in higher connection charges and will also increase battery drain. To enable this option:
      • Check the box for Connect and check for new messages every.
      • In the second box, enter the number of minutes the device will wait between connections.
      • Inbox will automatically select the correct connection. However, if you would like to use a specific connection you may select it from the Connection picklist..
    7. Once you have made the necessary changes, tap Next until you reach the end of the setup menu then tap Finish. You will be returned to the Options screen.
    8. Tap OK to return to your message inbox.
    9. Your device is now configured to automatically check for new messages.

  3. How do I enable the speakerphone during a voice call?

    Follow these steps:

    1. During your call, press and hold the Send key (located to the left of OK, below the display screen) for 2 seconds.
    2. A phone symbol will appear to the left of the signal meter, indicating that the speakerphone is active.
    3. To disable the speakerphone, press and hold the Send key for 2 seconds.

    If you are on a NationalAccess only calling plan, the default connection should be set to Express Network to avoid excessive data charges. The steps vary by operating system: Pocket PC 2002 or Windows Mobile 2003.

    Pocket PC 2002

    1. Tap Start > Settings.
    2. Select the Connections tab then tap the Connections icon.
    3. Tap the Modify button (located under the first picklist from the top).
    4. Select the Modem tab.
    5. Tap and hold the stylus on the connection that you intend to make the default. A picklist will appear.
    6. Select Always Dial.
    7. Tap OK > OK > X to return to the main screen.
    8. The default connection has been changed.

    Windows Mobile 2003

    1. Tap Start > Settings.
    2. Select the Connections tab then tap the Connections icon.
    3. Tap Manage existing connections.
    4. Select the desired default Internet connection and tap OK.
    5. Tap OK > X to return to the main screen.
    6. The default connection has been changed.
