   1. Tap Menu.
   2. Tap Speakerphone.
   • To Enable: During the call, tap Menu > Speakerphone.
   • To Disable: During the call, tap Menu > Speakerphone Off.

2. How do I perform a soft reset?
   1. Press the battery door release and slide the battery door downward to remove.
   2. Insert the tip of the stylus into the Reset Hole and then release.

3. How do I perform a hard reset?

   A hard reset will erase everything on your device. All your data will be removed; preferences and other settings will be restored to factory default settings. Do not perform a hard reset unless you've backed up your data or you are willing to lose it.

   1. Press the battery door release and slide the battery door downward to remove.
   2. While pressing the Power / End button, insert the tip of the stylus into the Reset Hole and hold for approximately two seconds then release.
   3. When prompted to Erase All Data, press Up with the 5-way navigation pad.

4. How do I adjust the screen on my Palm® Treo™ 700w device?
   1. From the Home screen, tap on Start.
   2. Tap Settings.
   3. Tap on the System tab, and then tap on the Screen icon.
   4. From the tab menu at the bottom, choose from the following:
   1. General - Option to change the screen orientation from Portrait to Landscape and/or Align the Screen to the Stylus.
   2. Clear Type (Set to Off as default) – Smoothes the edges of the screen fonts.
   3. Text Size – Adjusts the text size to see more content or increase the readability in many programs.

5. How do I make the Backlight stay on longer?
   1. From the Home screen tap on Start.
   2. Tap Settings.
   3. Tap on the System tab and then tap on the Backlight icon.
   4. From the tab menu at the bottom select either Battery Power or External Power tabs to make the Backlight changes.

   1. From the Home screen tap on Start.
   2. Tap Settings.
   3. Tap on the System tab, and then tap on the Brightness icon.
   4. To adjust the brightness, drag the slider.

   4. From the tab menu at the bottom select the Advanced tab to change the time limit before device is turned off.

   1. From the Home screen, tap Start.
   2. Tap Programs.
   3. Tap Wireless Sync.
   4. With the Wireless Sync application open, tap Setup at the bottom of the screen.
   5. Tap Push / ReadySync.
   6. Uncheck the Notification of data received option.

2. How do I enable or disable network Push on the Palm Treo 700w?
   1. From the Home screen, tap Start.
   2. Tap Programs.
   3. Tap Wireless Sync.
   4. With the Wireless Sync application open, tap Setup at the bottom of the screen.
   5. Tap Push / ReadySync.
   6. Check the Enable ReadySync option.
   7. Select a ReadySync interval.
   8. Wireless Sync will check for new messages at the interval you select.

3. On the device, why does Wireless Sync not always start synchronizing when the radio is turned on?
   When you turn the radio on, Wireless Sync may not attempt to connect for a set period of time. To start synchronization immediately, as soon as the radio is turned on perform a manual sync by tapping Sync in the Wireless Sync client on your device.

4. How do I download email attachments on the Palm Treo 700w?
   1. Open the email which contains an attachment.
   2. Tap Menu.
   3. Select Download Message.
   4. The attachment will be delivered during your next Wireless Sync synchronization.

5. What types of file attachments are supported for viewing on my device?

   Supported attachments include BMP, GIF, JPG, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint & Microsoft Word.

   Other file formats will require the installation and use of third-party applications.

   2. Tap Internet Explorer – connection will occur automatically.
   3. To view a specific web page, type the URL in the address bar then tap the green arrow located to the right of the address bar.
