General Information
  1. Is the Wireless Sync Get It Now client pre-installed on LG The V?
    The Wireless Sync application pre-installed on your LG The V is a provisioning client.  It allows you to choose whether to install the full Wireless Sync client on your handheld device.  Once downloaded and installed, you will be billed for the Wireless Sync application.

  2. How can I uninstall the Wireless Sync Get It Now client?
    Browse to the Get It Now menu on your device, select “Get Going”, highlight the entry labeled “Wireless Sync Email”, tap the Options soft-key and select “Erase/Cancel”.

    It is recommended that you visit http://www.wirelesssync.vzw.com prior to installing the Wireless Sync Get It Now client in order to configure your email source.

  5. What are the timed intervals available in the Wireless Sync Get It Now client?
    The Wireless Sync Get It Now client is set to manual synchronization by default.  However, a user can enable time-based synchronization by changing the "When to Sync" settings in the "Preferences" in the Wireless Sync Get It Now client.  The device can be configured to synchronize on the following intervals: every hour, every 2 hours, 4 hours, 12 hours or 24 hours.

  1. What can cause the error message "Authentication Error" to appear during a Wireless Sync?
    This is most commonly caused when the wrong password has been typed into the "Connection Settings" screen.

    This is most commonly caused when the wrong "User name" value has been typed into the "Connection Settings" screen.  This value should match your mobile phone number.

    This is most commonly caused when the wrong "Server name" value has been typed into the "Connection Settings" screen.

  4. When I press the sync button the screen never gets past the message "Sync in Progress". What will cause this?
    This can be caused if the URL in the "Connection Settings" is set to a valid URL that is not a Wireless Sync server.  Ensure the URL in the "Server name" field of the "Connection Settings" matches the following: www.wirelesssync.vzw.com

  5. What does this error message mean: "We can no longer store information on your device"?
    This message indicates that the amount of memory available to the Wireless Sync Get It Now client is insufficient to store any additional email or calendar data.  The V wireless device has a set amount of memory available for all Get It Now applications.  To resolve this issue you may need to remove other Get It Now applications or reduce the number of days that the Wireless Sync Get It Now client stores email and calendar information.

  6. How many contacts will I be able to sync to my device using Wireless Sync?
    Your The V wireless device is capable of handling 1,000 contacts with multiple phone numbers per contact.

  7. What happens if I have more contacts than my handset can hold?
    Wireless Sync has the capability to allow customers to choose which contacts are synchronized to their handset.  Include all of the contacts you want to download to your device (up to your device’s limit) into a common category.  Then browse to the Contact Picker by visiting www.wirelesssync.vzw.com, then log in using your mobile telephone number and password.  Click on Setup and Account.  Click on the link labeled “Pick Contacts to Sync” and then choose which categories you want to download to your device.

    This is due to the fact that the font set available on LG The V is limited when compared to a PC or other advanced device.
