  1. What is unique about the touch keypad?
    The touch keypad features Touch Protection to prevent unwanted key actions. The touch keypad is automatically locked when the slide is closed or when the keypad is inactive for a set time.

    Touch the exact key with a fingertip. It is not necessary to press hard. A light tap will do.

    Yes, the sensitivity level can be adjusted by going to Settings & Tools > Touch Sensor Level (7).

  4. Is the Chocolate compatible with BroadbandAccess Connect? If so, what kind of USB cable do I need to use?
    The Chocolate is compatible with BroadbandAccess Connect for both PCs and Mac® computers, allowing you the power to connect to the Internet remotely using your mobile phone as a modem for EV-DO access. You may also purchase a Mobile Office Kit through Verizon Wireless.

    Yes, you can save photos from your phone to your memory card and can also move them from the card to a PC.

    The Chocolate comes with a 2.5mm headset adapter, so you can use a wired headset with this device. The Music Essentials Kit for Chocolate will also include a wired headset for the device.

    The Chocolate can accommodate up to a 2 GB microSD memory card.

  8. How do I unlock the Chocolate phone?
    To unlock the phone, simply slide the phone closed, open the slide or press the Voice Command/Memo Key twice. Then slide open and press any side key to continue use.

  10. Which audio formats does the Chocolate phone support?
    The Chocolate supports both MP3 and Windows Media® (WMA) formats. When playing music, either in the My Music or library section, the format of the song will not be visible to you. The phone simply displays the song and you will be able to choose to listen to the song or skip over it.

  11. Does the Chocolate support listening to music with Bluetooth stereo headsets (via A2DP profile)?
    Yes, the Chocolate supports listening to music, but streaming audio (V CAST Video) is not supported through Bluetooth stereo headsets.

  12. What does the dedicated Music Key do?
    The dedicated Music Key gives you quick access to your play lists. You can easily navigate by tapping left or right Navigation Keys to see All Songs, Artists, Genres, and Albums.

  13. What is Music Only mode?
    The Music Only mode allows you to listen to your music while the phone is not network active. When the phone is not network active, you cannot send or receive voice calls or messages.

  14. When playing music, songs are sometimes skipped and then they display X’s – why is this happening?
    If you insert a microSD card from a different phone that has protected content due to digital rights, the new phone will not be able to play this music. The song will be skipped and an X will be placed in the microSD icon.

  15. When does music pause and resume in music background mode?
    If you are playing music in the background, the music will pause and resume when you receive a voice call, run an application or record a video.

    Yes, you can play music in the background while you browse the Web, send messages, add/edit contacts, change phone settings, and browse call history and more.

  17. Where do I plug the headset?
    Plug the headset into the headset adapter that is included with the phone, and then plug the headset adapter directly into the phone.

  18. How can I change my Display theme?
    To change your display theme
    1. Press OK to open up the menu screen
    2. Scroll to Settings & Tools
    3. Select Display Settings
    4. Select Display Themes
    5. Select VZW and press OK
    6. Choose the display color scheme, then press OK to set the theme
    7. Press the END key to go back to the main menu
