The mobile client is pre-loaded on all Verizon Wireless feature devices and Is also available on select Blackberry, Windows Mobile and Palm devices
  2. IM Forwarding: Have your instant messages forwarded from your computer to your Verizon Wireless mobile phone. (Only available for AIM and Yahoo!)
  3. PC to Mobile Instant Messaging: Send AIM, Yahoo! instant messages from your computer to your friends and family by using their Verizon Wireless mobile phone number.

Instant Messages are charged just like Text Messages so you can use your Text bundle or pay as you go. Instant Messages are not included as Mobile to Mobile messages in any Unlimited Mobile to Mobile messaging bundle.

What's the difference between Text Messaging and Instant Messaging?

Text messages are short messages that can be sent from one mobile phone to another mobile phone by using the recipient's mobile phone number.

Instant messages are messages exchanged back and forth in real time by using the recipient's screen name. At Verizon Wireless, Instant Messaging allows you to communicate with your friends or family in the AIM, Yahoo! Messenger or Windows Live Messenger communities. With the AIM, Yahoo! or Windows Live Messenger mobile IM client, you can see who is available, busy, or offline.
