Founded in 1994, RBRC (Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation) is a non-profit, public service organization that recycles rechargeable batteries - the ones typically found in equipment such as cellular phones, cordless phones, cordless power tools, laptop computers, digital cameras, two-way radios, camcorders and remote control toys.

Where can I drop off my rechargeable batteries for recycling?
Batteries can be returned to any Verizon Wireless retail store nationwide. To find the closest store in your area, use our Store Locator. Customers of any wireless carrier can utilize this service.

Can I recycle both a cellular phone and battery?
Yes. You can recycle both your no-longer-used phone and rechargeable battery by dropping them off at any Verizon Wireless retail location. Cellular phones and batteries with remaining useful life will be donated to the HopeLine Phone Recycling program. All spent rechargeable batteries will be collected for recycling.

What is the HopeLine Phone Recycling Program?
HopeLine is a phone recycling program exclusive to Verizon Wireless that puts wireless services and equipment to work to assist victims of domestic violence. The used phones are refurbished and recycled. Verizon Wireless uses the proceeds from the sale of any donated phone to fund non-profit agencies and to purchase wireless phones for victims of domestic violence.
