Feedback

What does it mean when a song or album title is followed by the word "EXPLICIT"?
The "EXPLICIT" label is used by many record companies to notify consumers and retailers that certain albums and songs may contain strong language or depictions of violence, sex or substance abuse. V CAST Music content labeled by record companies as "EXPLICIT" is also labeled as such in the V CAST Music store. Please note that not all record companies use this label and not all songs or albums with potentially offensive lyrics have warning labels. Parental discretion is advised when previewing or purchasing content labeled as "EXPLICIT."

Feedback

What can I do to block access to music labeled "EXPLICIT"?
There are currently two ways to block, or filter “EXPLICIT” labeled content from being either previewed or purchased.

  1. You can add an “Music Block” to the particular line that you want to restrict. This will prevent access to the V CAST Music catalog from the handset and the PC. Account holders with multiple lines associated with their accounts (e.g. on a FamilyShare plan) may choose to block all lines or only specified lines on their accounts. Once added, the block may be removed only at the request of the account holder.
  2. You can activate content filtering to limit the type of content that you want to have available. This feature will allow the preview and/ or purchase of content, while filtering out “EXPLICIT” labeled content. Any “Explicit” content displayed will be viewable only in a “grayed” out presentation, if the filter is activated. To activate content filtering please call customer care at (800) 922-0204, or *611 from your mobile phone.

To activate a V CAST Music filter, you may go to My Verizon online account management, you may call Customer Care at (800) 922-0204, or *611 from your mobile phone. Additionally, you may visit any one of our retail stores to have the feature added.

Feedback

How do V CAST Music purchases affect my monthly anytime minutes allowance?
Charges for V CAST Music purchases will be deducted from your account balance. These charges will reduce your balance, and thus the number of anytime minutes available.

For example, if you have an account balance of $10.00 and place a call during peak hours, which is rated at $0.10 per minute, you would have 100 peak minutes available for the call. If, with the same $10.00 account balance, you purchased a V CAST song for $2.98 (99¢ download fee + $1.99 for the song), your new balance would be $7.02. You would have 70 minutes available for a call made during peak hours.
