What device supports Global Email?
We have recently added two new GlobalEmail capable devices to our line up; the BlackBerry® Storm™ 9530 Smartphone and the Samsung Saga™. Or, please visit our Online Store to purchase any GlobalEmail capable smartphone or BlackBerry device. We currently support over 170 destinations with our devices.

What countries can I travel to and have Global Phone (voice) and/or GlobalEmail (data) access from my GlobalEmail device?
Visit the Global Phone Plans (Rates) and Coverage webpage for a list of countries where you can make and receive phone calls with a GlobalEmail capable device. What do I need to do to make sure I have everything set up for GlobalEmail and Global Phone services before I travel abroad?
Simply purchase a GlobalEmail capable device, and add International Service your plan. Beginning November 2008 and going forward, GlobalEmail capable devices and smartphones will come with a Pre-Installed SIM Card for our customers to access GSM and UMTS Networks while outside of the United States. In our current line up these include the BlackBerry Storm 9530 Smartphone and the Samsung Saga. For other devices, we will provide you with our Global Support Pack which includes a SIM Card and other materials to assist you with accessing our services while traveling outside of the United States.
Tip: If you are using email, set it up prior to traveling to ensure you are able to get your email before you leave.

I did not receive the Global Support Pack with the SIM Card and support materials in it when I purchased my GlobalEmail capable device. What should I do?
Please call Customer Service at (800) 922-0204 or dial 611 from your Verizon Wireless device. They will put you in contact with our Global Support Team who can assist you with getting your device properly set-up prior to your trip abroad.
NOTE: The BlackBerry Storm 9530 Smartphone and the Samsung Saga came with a Pre-Installed SIM Card as well as a Global Support Literature Kit. No Global Pack is required.

Should I set up my email prior to my travel abroad?
If you intend to use the GlobalEmail service while abroad, we require you to set it up prior to traveling to ensure you are able to send and receive email before you leave. Please call Customer Service at (800) 922-0204. Customer service will put you in contact with our Global Support Team who can assist you with getting your device properly set-up prior to your trip abroad.

How do I place a call while traveling internationally?
First determine if you will be traveling to a destination with a GSM Network or CDMA Network by visiting the Global Phone Plans and Coverage webpage and that your GlobalEmail Capable Device has been activated with Voice Service and International Services.
You can also determine what type of network (GSM or CDMA) you are in by checking the upper right-hand corner of your device's main display. You will see a GSM, GPRS, EV-DO or 1X icon. If you are not familiar with your device’s display, or need assistance finding this icon please reference our Phones & Devices Support page

- In standby mode, press and hold 0 to display the + symbol. (The + symbol automatically inserts the exit code for the country from which you are calling.)
- Enter the country code of the person you are calling (1 for the U.S.).
- Enter the area code/city code, followed by the number of the person you are calling.

Calling internationally while in CDMA mode:
- Enter the exit code for the country from which you are calling.
- Enter the country code of the person you are calling (1 for the U.S.).
- Enter the area code/city code, followed by the number of the person you are calling.
